The Museum Collection is Winemaker Vangelis Gerovassiliou’s special project. To create this unique blend, he hand selects the best red grapes from 5 single parcels: Limnio, Syrah, Merlot, Mavroudi and Mavrotragano. After several tastings, he chooses oak barrels that show the best organoleptic qualities of each variety. The wine becomes a harmonious blend that changes annually with the unique characteristics each grape brings for that year.
After the harvest, the wine is aged in new & seasoned medium toasted French oak barrels.
This method allows the wine to develop a fuller mouthfeel, complexity and a truly unique blend of flavours and aromas. It has a dark ruby colour with a complex bouquet of mature black fruit (sour cherry, blackcurrants) as well as notes of tobacco and spices coming from the barrel. It features an intense fruit palate with vivid, gentle tannins and a spicy, persistent finish.
